Justice and ethics are two major elements which lead to the development and the transcendence of the society as well as the individual. They seek the spiritual as well as the physical well-being of mankind, his emancipation both in this world and the hereafter, and the spirituality alongside progress. Justice and ethics are complement to each other and provide balance in the society. These two concepts, which are commensurate to human dignity, contribute to the flourishing of the human capacities and lead to the manifestation of this flourishing in the society. International Conference on Justice and Ethics is an apposite auspicious step, which is supposed to contribute to the formation of scientific researches as well as social and religious thoughts about the two concepts of justice and ethics. This conference, which brings these two important concepts together, could function as a realization of the Qur'anic motto, "Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct…" (16:90), and thus is distinguished from other similar events.

Justice and ethics were the two concerns of Imam Ali (a.s), and Amir al-mu'minin was the axis of truth and justice. A major part of Nahj ul-Balaqah, which is a miracle of rhetoric, regards justice, and justice has a wing called ethics.

Any step contributing to the social and individual awareness of justice and to the motivation for that is a duty. The organization of a Conference in an international level as well as taking advantage of the experts' and scholars' thoughts and researches regarding this important issue is a big step.
